How do you verify employment

There are many different ways to verify an applicant's employment.  We contact the employer and have them complete our verification form.  The employer must sign the form upon completion.  We also check the credit report to see if the current employer was listed as the last known place of employment. 

For applicants that are self employed, we obtain tax returns and/or bank statements as proof of employment.    With applicants that are self employed within the state of Texas, we check the status of the company with the Sec. of State's website.
